Foggy Day

Now if you know me i love a good foggy day--some might say i'm a lover of fog-anyways- we had one of those days a couple of weeks back and i just had to capture it. Our backyard looked great draped in fog- enjoy!

Also the first picture is a little october/halloween image--spider and pumpkins! (those are our white pumpkins)

Getting ready for Fall

So we've pretty much gotten everything we can out of the summer. All in all we had a good haul- early on we had lots of lettuce, squash and heirloom tomatoes and then when those started to peter out we got peppers, corn, okra pumpkins and gourds. Mainly we were just trying to figure out what we can really grow in our little garden and next summer we can focus on certain crops and not try the others.

Now we're getting ready for fall. That means adding nutrients to soil and cleaning out all the dead and diseased stuff. The pumpkin vine done quit so i cleaned it out along with all our tomato plants. The cherries still had some fruit but the plants were getting really leggy and tallulah took a liking to the tomatoes so i just decided to remove temptation.

For the fall line so far we had brussels sprouts, three different lettuces, cabbage, collard greens, and some broccoli. We'll see-------------
